Adjusting Lift Assist Spring

1. Park machine on a hard, level surface.

2. Stop engine and lock park brake.

3. Raise the mower deck to the transport position.

   Weight of mower or attachment affects ease of lifting. Adjust lift assist spring for your particular mower deck model.

4. Adjust Lift Assist Spring (A) using 15 mm bolt (B) to increase or decrease gap (C) per the following recommendations or operator preference

Deck Size	Dimensions
48 inch Deck Size	25 mm (0.9 in.)
54 inch Deck Size	20 mm (0.7 in.)
60 inch Deck Size	15 mm (0.5 in.)

Clockwise - Increases spring tension and reduce lift effort for heavier mowers.

Counterclockwise - Decreases spring tension and increases lift effort for lighter mowers.
