Avoiding Injury or Death from Falling Round Bales

CAUTION: To help prevent personal injury or death caused by falling loads:

• DO NOT handle round bales unless loader is equipped with an approved bale handling attachment. Otherwise, the bale can fall on the operator when the loader is raised.
• Do not use this grapple with a bale spear.
• Selective control valves may have an automatic extend position (detent) that must be locked out for loader operation. Unintentional movement of the controls to the detent position may cause the loader to raise to full height unexpectedly and the load to fall back on the operator's station or operator. See tractor operator's manual to make adjustments.
• Handle raised loads with caution.
• Carry loads low and drive slowly.
