540 Loader Without Mechanical Self-Level

causym CAUTION: To help prevent personal injury or death from tractor/loader rollover, add required amount of ballast to tractor. The amount of ballast listed is the minimum required for normal loader operation. For some operations, additional ballast may be required to maximize stability.

NOTE: Ballast requirements are the same for MFWD and two-wheel drive tractors with straight front axles.

See your tractor Operator's Manual to add ballast to rear wheels.

BALLAST REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL 5000 SERIES TRACTORS
CHOOSE ONE OF THREE BALLAST OPTIONS

1 507 kg (1120 lb) Ballast per Wheel with no Hitch Ballast
2 150 kg (330 lb) Ballast per Wheel and 600 kg (1325 lb) of Hitch Ballast**
3 300 kg (660 lb) Ballast per Wheel and 370 kg (815 lb) of Hitch Ballast**
*Ballast given is minimum required with rear tread set at 1600 mm (63 in.).

Steel Straight CHOOSE ONE OF THREE BALLAST OPTIONS
  1. 400 kg (880 lb) Ballast per Wheel*** with no Hitch Ballast
  2. 150 kg (330 lb) Ballast per Wheel and 380 kg (840 lb) Hitch Ballast
  3. No Wheel Ballast with 600 kg (1100 lb) Hitch Ballast
*Ballast given is minimum required with rear tread set at 1600 mm (63 in.).

*** Limited to largest tire sizes because maximum liquid ballast is required.
