causym CAUTION: To help prevent personal injury or death from tractor/loader rollover, add required amount of ballast to tractor. The amount of ballast listed is the minimum required for normal loader operation. For some operations, additional ballast may be required to maximize stability.

NOTE: Ballast requirements are the same for MFWD and two-wheel drive tractors with straight front axles.

BALLAST REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL 5000 SERIES TRACTORS
CHOOSE ONE OF THREE BALLAST OPTIONS
Option Ballast*
1 500 kg (1100 lb) Ballast per Wheel and 500 kg (1100 lb) of Hitch Ballast
2 300 kg (660 lb) Ballast per Wheel and 800 kg (1760 lb) of Hitch Ballast**
3 150 kg (330 lb) Ballast per Wheel and 1000 kg (2200 lb) of Hitch Ballast**
*Ballast given is minimum required with rear tread set at 1600 mm (63 in.).

Steel Swept Back CHOOSE ONE OF TWO BALLAST OPTIONS
  1. 300 kg (660 lb) Wheel Ballast and 700 kg (1540 lb) Hitch Ballast
  2. No Wheel Ballast with 1100 kg (2420 lb) Hitch Ballast
Steel Straight CHOOSE ONE OF FOUR BALLAST OPTIONS
  1. 520 kg (1140 lb) Wheel Ballast***with No Hitch Ballast
  2. 300 kg (660 lb) Wheel Ballast and 400 kg (880 lb) Hitch Ballast
  3. 150 kg (330 lb) Wheel Ballast and 600 kg (1320 lb) Hitch Ballast
  4. No Wheel Ballast with 800 kg (1760 lb) Hitch Ballast
*Ballast given is minimum required with rear tread set at 1600 mm (63 in.).

*** Limited to largest tire sizes because maximum liquid ballast is required.
