Adding Ballast To Hitch
All Tractors Except 5000N Series

Three ballast box options are available as attachments:

  • Small box without extensions (A).
  • Small box with extensions.
  • Large box.

Use sand, concrete, portland cement or tractor weights in box to meet ballast requirements.

A 3-Point Hitch implement may be used as ballast, but it must meet weight required.

The following chart shows approximate total weights of the box with 3 different ballast materials. Use it as a guideline to add ballast to your tractor hitch.
