Removing Loader with Parking Stands

causym CAUTION: To help prevent personal injury caused by a falling loader, always detach on a hard, level surface. Loader must be equipped with a bucket and parking stand attachment.

1. Dump bucket 40° below level.

2. Lower bucket to ground, applying slight down pressure. Do not raise tires off ground.

3. Engage parking brake and shut off engine.

NOTE: 520 Loaders and 540 Loaders without Mechanical Self-Level have one piece parking stands. 540 Loaders with Mechanical Self-Level have folding two piece stands. Use boards under stands to prevent loader from sinking in soft ground.

4. Lower one piece parking stands:

a. Remove pin (A).

b. Slide stand up and swing down.

c. Install pin (A) to lock stand down.

Lower folding parking stands:

a. Grasp handle (A) to support stand.

b. Remove pins (B) and (C).

c. Swing stand down.

d. Install pins (B) and (C) to lock stand down.

5. Remove pin (A) to disconnect hoses from mast.

6. For 5000 Series Tractors, remove spring locking pins and pull clamps (A) away from back of frames.

For selective control valve operated loader, disconnect hoses under foot platform.

7. Remove pins (A) from both mounting frames and store in holders. Place quick-lock pins (B) in frames.

8. Start engine and put transmission in neutral.

9. Extend lift cylinders until bushing (A) is ahead of pockets (B).

NOTE: Parking stands should not contact ground during this operation. Dump bucket if more clearance of stand to ground is required.

NOTE: Move tractor forward as necessary to keep hoses loose.

10. Roll back bucket until stands contact ground. Continue to roll back bucket and loader will lift out of frames.

11. Retract lift cylinders.

12. Extend bucket cylinders slightly.

13. Shut off engine and move control levers to relieve hydraulic pressure.

14. Disconnect couplers.

15. Place caps on hoses and couplers.

16. Store hoses on loader.
