Attaching Loader
1.
Center tractor between loader masts.
2.
Stop tractor with backs of loader masts approximately 300 mm (12 in.) in front of backs of mounting frames (A).
3.
Engage parking brake.

4.
Shut off engine and move levers to relieve hydraulic pressure.

CAUTION:
To avoid injury from escaping fluid under pressure, stop engine and relieve the pressure in the system before disconnecting or connecting hydraulic or other lines. Tighten all connections before applying pressure.
Help prevent personal injury caused by unexpected loader movement. Anticipated loader movement responds to control lever only if hoses are connected correctly.
5.
Connect hoses using colored dust covers to match hoses to couplers.
NOTE:
Hoses connections are identified by matching the colored cap on the hose end with the same colored plug on the control valve coupler. If caps are missing, see Identifying Hose Connections in Service section for replacement.

6.
Extend lift cylinders until backs of masts (A) are even with backs of mounting frames (B).

7.
Slowly extend bucket cylinders, lowering masts in mounting frames until bottoms of masts fit over pins (A).

8.
With tractor in neutral, slowly retract lift cylinders until rear of masts contact backs of mounting frames.
9.
Install pins (A) on both sides of loader using quick-lock pins.

10.
Attach hoses to mast using spring locking pin (A).

11.
For 5000 Series Tractors, slide hose clamp bolts (A) in holes on back of mounting frame and install spring locking pins. (Larger hoses to outside.)

12.
Attach hose clamp to strap under foot platform using quick-lock pin.

NOTE:
520 Loaders and 540 Loaders without Mechanical Self-Level have one piece parking stands. 540 Loaders with Mechanical Self-Level have folding two piece stands.
13.
Store one piece parking stands:
a.
Remove pin (A).
b.
Slide stand up and swing up.
c.
Install pin (A) to lock stand up.

Store folding parking stands:
a.
Remove pins (B) and (C).
b.
Grasp handle (A) to support stand.
c.
Fold stand up.
d.
Install pins (C) and (B) to lock stand up.
