Prestarting Checklist

Perform the following procedures before operating the cutter:

• Gear Cases
  • Check oil levels. (See EVERY 8 HOURS OR DAILY in Lubrication and Maintenance section.)
  • Check hardware torque. (See EVERY 50 HOURS in Lubrication and Maintenance section.)
• Blades and Blade Holder
  • Inspect blades for wear or damage. (See INSPECTING BLADES in Service section.)
  • Check blade hardware torque. (See REPLACING BLADES in the Service section.)
  • Check blade holder hardware torque. (See EVERY 50 HOURS in Lubrication and Maintenance section.)
• Make sure slip clutch is not seized. (See FREEING SLIP CLUTCH in Service section.)
• Tighten tailwheel nuts. (See EVERY 24 HOURS in Lubrication and Maintenance section.)
• Used Aircraft Tires (Pull-Type)
  • Check tire pressure. (See EVERY 24 HOURS in Lubrication and Maintenance section.)
