Preparing Cutter for Operation-Pull-Type and Semi-Mount

CAUTION: To help prevent severe injury to you or someone else:

Do not engage tractor PTO when cutter is in fully raised position (transport position).

Keep all persons away from machine when raising and lowering cutter.

IMPORTANT: Excessive operating speed may cause machine damage. Be sure hydraulic flow is set properly.

1. Set the flow for the tractor hydraulic remote outlet (rate of cylinder travel) to allow at least two seconds for machine to fully raise or lower. (See your tractor Operator's manual.)

2. Operate tractor SCV to extend lift cylinder (raise cutter).

3. Engage tractor parking brake and/or place transmission in "Park".

4. Disengage PTO, shut off tractor engine and remove key.

5. Move transport lock (A) to unlocked position (shown).

6. Start tractor engine and operate tractor SCV to lower cutter to the ground (retract lift cylinder).

7. Adjust cutting height. (See procedure in this section.)
