Timing Blade Holders

IMPORTANT: To prevent blade interference, blade holder timing is important. After service or reassembly of driveline couplers and/or chains, blade holders must be retimed.

1. Disengage tractor PTO and shut off tractor engine.

2. Disconnect PTO driveline from tractor.

3. Disengage latches and raise left or right-hand side coupler driveline shield (A).

4. Remove spring clip and master link (C).

5. Remove roller chain.

6. Manually rotate PTO driveline to position opposite side blades/holder parallel to front sill.

7. Manually rotate sprocket on input shaft (B) to position blades/holder 90° to each other, as shown.

8. Align coupler with sprocket on gear case shaft and install roller chain, master link and spring clip.

9. Lower driveline shield and engage latches.
