Using Slip Clutch Storage Feature
Friction type clutches will seize up if left unused for a period of time, especially in humid or damp conditions.
This slip clutch has a feature to release spring tension on the internal parts to prevent the friction disks from bonding to the steel clutch plates during storage.
Using a 5 mm hex key, turn four set screws (A) all the way in against clutch plate (B). This pushes back belleville spring (C) relieving pressure on the friction disks.
To return clutch to service, it is important to make sure the clutch will slip. Follow the procedure FREEING SLIP CLUTCH in this section.
