Preparing Cutter for Operation-Lift-Type

CAUTION: To help prevent severe injury or death to you or someone else:

Do not engage tractor PTO when cutter is in fully raised position (transport position).

Keep all persons away from machine when raising and lowering cutter.

IMPORTANT: To avoid damaging the machine from impact on ground when lowering, adjust rate at which hitch will lower.

1. Adjust tractor rockshaft rate-of-drop. Allow at least three seconds for machine to lower from full lift height to the ground. (See your tractor Operator's manual.)

2. If equipped, disengage tractor hitch/rockshaft control lever from transport lock position and lower cutter to the ground. (See your tractor Operator's manual.)

3. Adjust tractor lift links to level machine side-to-side. (See your tractor Operator's manual.)

4. Adjust cutting height. (See procedure in this section.)
