Selecting Tractor PTO Speed

IMPORTANT: Never operate a cutter equipped for 540 rpm PTO drive with a tractor equipped with 1000 rpm PTO.

Always run tractor at rated PTO speed. Overspeed will cause damage to drive system.

Tractor PTO shaft must match cutter driveline according to the following table. Cutters are shipped with a PTO driveline for the following diameter PTO shafts:

  • HX10-35 mm (1-3/8 in.) shaft
  • HX14-35 or 44 mm (1-3/8 or 1-3/4 in.) shaft
