Timing Blade Holders-HX14

IMPORTANT: To prevent blade interference, blade holder timing is important. After service or reassembly of drivelines, blade holders must be retimed BEFORE installing a new shear bolt.

NOTE: A decal with timing procedures is located under left-hand side cross shaft driveline shield.

1. Position blade holder (B) so that blade mounting hardware is positioned directly under access hole in deck.

2. With shear bolt removed, rotate blade holder (A) or (C) until the edge of blade holder is in-line with edge of access hole and holes in shear hub are aligned. (This could take up to 20 rotations.)

3. Install shear bolt. (See REPLACING CROSS SHAFT SHEAR BOLT in this section.)
