Adjusting Cutting Height-Lift-Type

1. Position machine on flat level ground.

2. Raise cutter, using tractor rockshaft control, to raise tailwheels off the ground.

3. Loosen lock nut on clamp (A) and raise tailwheels completely. Tighten clamp lock nut.

NOTE: Blade cut is approximately 25.4 mm (1 in.) higher than skid shoes.

4. Lower cutter onto wooden blocks according to desired cutting height. Example: A 51 mm (2 in.) wood block = 76 mm (3 in.) cutting height.

5. Loosen lock nut on clamp and lower tailwheels to the ground. Tighten clamp lock nut.

6. Raise cutter using tractor rockshaft control and remove wood blocks.

7. Lower cutter until tailwheels touch the ground. With tailwheels in the "trailing" position, make sure skid shoes are parallel to the ground. Adjust tractor center link as necessary.

8. Set lower limit on tractor rockshaft control. (See your tractor Operator's manual.)

9. Adjust tractor center link for approximate clearance (A) according to specifications. This will allow cutter to float on uneven terrain.
