Adjusting Cutting Height-Pull-Type

1. Position machine on flat level ground.

NOTE: Blade cut is approximately 25.4 mm (1 in.) higher than skid shoes.

2. Extend or retract lift cylinder using tractor SCV to adjust cutting height as desired at rear of machine.

NOTE: Cylinder stops (provided with machine) are used to return cutter to same cutting height after cylinder is extended for any reason. (i.e. Transporting) Various sizes of cylinder stops are available.

3. Install the correct number/size of cylinder stops (A) around lift cylinder rod as required to attain desired cutting height.

IMPORTANT: To avoid having more machine weight on one leveling rod than the other, be sure to adjust cap screws evenly.

4. Loosen jam nut (B) and adjust cap screw (A) to raise or lower front of cutter so skid shoes are parallel to the ground.

Turn cap screw as follows:

  • Clockwise to raise front of cutter
  • Counterclockwise to lower cutter

5. Tighten jam nut.
