Removing Loader

NOTE: Latch (A) on 990, 970, and 1070 Tractors is on right-hand mast. 4000 Series tractor shown.

1. Lift up on latch (A) and push forward all the way into notch.

2. Extend lift cylinders. Masts will lift out of rear frames.

3. Raise masts high enough to clear front tires.

4. Engage tractor parking brake and/or place transmission in "Park".

5. Shut off tractor engine and remove key.

causym CAUTION: To help prevent injury from escaping hydraulic oil under pressure, relieve pressure in the system. Move control levers back and forth and side-to-side (if applicable) several times.

6. Move control levers back and forth several times to relieve system pressure.

7. Disconnect hoses at couplers and install dust plugs and caps.

IMPORTANT: To avoid hose damage, be sure hoses do not catch on tractor when reversing away from loader.

8. Store hoses on lift cylinder, DO NOT lay them on the ground.

9. Start tractor engine.

10. Disengage tractor parking brake and/or place transmission in reverse and slowly move away from loader.

causym CAUTION: To help prevent personal injury from tractor instability, remove ballast box from 3-point hitch when loader is removed.

11. Remove three quick-lock pins and ballast box (A).
