Detaching the Bucket or Attachment

causym CAUTION: Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Tighten all connections before applying pressure. Search for leaks with a piece of cardboard. Protect hands and body from high pressure fluids.

If an accident occurs, see a doctor immediately. Any fluid injected into the skin must be surgically removed within a few hours or gangrene may result. 1. If equipped with hydraulic operated attachment such as a grapple; Disconnect hydraulic hoses as follows:

a. Relieve hydraulic pressure. (See RELIEVING HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SAFELY in Safety section).

b. Disconnect hydraulic hoses from couplers (A and B).

c. Place cap on male coupler (A) and insert plug into female coupler (B).

NOTE: Use same procedure to attach or detach attachments other than a bucket. Disconnect hydraulic attachments before backing away.

When loader moves away from bucket, latch pins will automatically drop to prepare loader for next attachment.

2. Level bucket 150 mm (6 in.) off ground.

3. Engage tractor parking brake and shut off engine.

4. Lift and rotate latches (A) up on both sides of bucket.

5. Start tractor engine and extend bucket cylinders until front of bucket touches ground.

6. Lower loader until bar (B) clears hooks (A) and then back away.
