Removing and Installing Hood Guard

NOTE: Loader latch plate attaches to front of hood guard. Loader must be removed to remove hood guard.

1. Remove loader, if equipped. (See Detaching Loader section.)

A-Cap Screw, M12 x 45 (6 used)


B-Guard
C-Lock Washer, M12 (6 used)


D-Nut, M12 (6 used)


E-Washers, 13 x 20 x 2 mm (as required)

causym CAUTION: Approximate weight of hood guard is 23.5 kg (52 lbs). To help prevent personal injury from falling or shifting hood guard, use a lifting device when removing and installing.

2. Attach lifting strap to hood guard and hoist.

3. Remove mounting hardware (A, C, and D) and hood guard (B).

NOTE: Leave all hardware loose until all parts have been installed.

If equipped, install washers (E) between hood guard and tractor frame.

4. Install hood guard in reverse order of removal using the following special instructions.

  • Tighten hardware to specification.

Mounting Hardware -Torque 140 N·m (105 lb-ft)
