Tractor Ballast Requirements

IMPORTANT: When adding ballast, do not exceed maximum tire carrying capacity shown on sidewall.

All of the following requirements are necessary to prepare the loader for operation:

  • Use calcium chloride mixture if rear tires are ballasted.
  • Correct amount of rear wheel weights (in addition to calcium ballast, if required).
  • Widest rear tread possible.
  • Correct front wheel tread.
  • Correct amount of required ballast on 3-Point Hitch.
