Detaching Loader

causym CAUTION: To help prevent personal injury caused by a falling loader, always detach on a hard, level surface. Loader must be equipped with a bucket, forklift or round bale fork and parking stands.

1. Dump bucket 40° below level.

2. Lower bucket to ground, applying slight downward pressure. Do not raise tires off ground.

3. Place transmission in "PARK" and shut off engine.

NOTE: To prevent loader from sinking in soft ground, place boards under parking stands.

4. Remove quick lock pins and parking stands/boom service locks (A) from storage tube (B).

5. Install parking stands/boom service locks (B), as shown. Fasten with quick lock pins (A).

6. Remove pin (A) from loader mast on each side:

a. Remove spring locking pin (B) and pin (A).

b. Insert end of pin handle into slot (C) and install spring locking pin (B).

7. Start tractor engine.

8. Place transmission in neutral , to allow tractor movement, and release parking brake.

9. Extend lift cylinders until masts move forward approximately 50 mm (2 in.) away from mounting frames.

10. Slowly roll bucket back until stands contact ground. Continue to roll back bucket until loader lifts out of mounting frames. Drive ahead as necessary to keep hoses slack.

NOTE: Depending on tractor/loader model, to clear mounting frames it may be necessary to further extend lift cylinders while rolling back bucket.

causym CAUTION: Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Tighten all connections before applying pressure. Search for leaks with a piece of cardboard. Protect hands and body from high pressure fluids.

If an accident occurs, see a doctor immediately. Any fluid injected into the skin must be surgically removed within a few hours or gangrene may result. Doctors unfamiliar with this type of injury should reference a knowledgeable medical source. Such information is available from Deere & Company Medical Department in Moline, Illinois, U.S.A.

11. Shut off engine and move loader control lever(s) back and forth and side-to-side (if applicable) several times. (See your tractor Operator's Manual.)

Electrohydraulic valve/third function (attachment, such as grapple);

a. Turn key to ON position. Do not start tractor engine.

b. Press switch on multi-function control lever several times.

c. Turn key to OFF position.

E-ICV or E-SCV;

a. Turn key to ON position. Do not start tractor engine.

b. Release interlock.

c. Move loader control lever back and forth and side-to-side (if applicable) several times.

d. Turn key to OFF position.

12. SCV at Rear of Tractor;

a. Disconnect couplers.

b. Place caps on hose ends and plugs in couplers.

c. If equipped with selective control valves (SCVs) at rear of tractor; Remove tie bands with hoses (A) from bracket (B), support (C), and frame (D).

d. Store hoses on loader. Do not lay them on ground.

Mid-Mount Couplers;

a. Push and hold collar on female coupler.

b. Disconnect couplers.

c. Release collar on female coupler.

d. Place cap on hose end and plug in coupler.

e. Repeat for all hydraulic hose connections.

f. Store all hoses with hose support on loader mast.

Multi-Coupler;

a. Push red knob (A) IN and rotate lever rearward to disengage pins (B), separating coupler halves.

b. Remove mobile coupler half with hoses (C) from stationary coupler.

c. Store mobile coupler half on loader mast, as shown. (Insert pin on side of coupler half into hole in loader mast.)

IMPORTANT: Lever (A) must be in the locked (UP) position when mobile coupler half with hoses are removed to avoid interference with tractor fender or wheel. Cover (B) must also be lowered to protect connection surface of stationary coupler half.

d. Rotate lever (A) around and forward until a "click" is heard, locking lever in UP position, as shown.

e. Lower cover (B).

13. Place transmission in reverse and move tractor slowly away from loader.
