Operating Loader with Selective Control Valve (SCV) Levers

Operate loader from operator's seat only. Remain at controls until operating cycle is complete.

Preparing Controls:

  • 6000 and 7000 Series Tractors; See CHANGING VALVE DETENT SELECTOR-LOADER WITHOUT MULTI-FUNCTION CONTROL LEVER CONTROL in Preparing the Tractor section.
  • 20, 30, 40, 50, and 55 Series Tractors; See SETTING CONTROL LEVER STOPS-SCV OPERATED LOADER in Preparing the Tractor section.

Using levers:

  • Left-hand SCV lever controls loader lift (boom) cylinders. Moving the lever all the way forward goes into a 'FLOAT' position and has a detent to hold it there.

Lever returns to NEUTRAL by itself from all positions except FLOAT. Pull lever back to release from FLOAT.

  • Right-hand SCV lever controls loader bucket cylinders. Moving the lever back rolls the bucket back. Moving the lever forward dumps the bucket back. Moving the lever all the way forward and holding it there results in a 'FAST DUMP'.

Key Lever Movement Loader Operation
A Left Lever Forward Boom Lower
B Left Lever Locked Forward Boom Float
C Left Lever Back Boom Raise
D Right Lever Forward Bucket Dump
E Right Lever Full Forwarda Bucket Fast Dump
F Right Lever Back Bucket Roll Back
aSlightly extra effort is required to move right lever to the full forward position. (Bucket cylinder force is reduced in Fast Dump. Use it only for dumping materials.)

NOTE: Oil flow limitations may not allow two loader operations at one time such as RAISE and ROLL BACK. The operation that requires the least hydraulic force will move first.
