Prepare the Tractor

1. Prepare the tractor for the loader. Refer to Preparing the Tractor section for the following:

  • Approved tractors
  • Tire requirements
  • Tread settings
  • Rear ballast requirements
  • SCV control lever settings
  • Removing front weights

2. Install mounting frames. (Refer to Installation Instructions included in separate bundle.)

3. Install hood guard. (Refer to Installation Instructions included in separate bundle.)

4. Install hydraulic valves/controls. (Refer to Installation Instructions included in separate bundle.)

5. 7000 and 7000 TEN Series Cab Tractors; Change front belt-line flood light position, if equipped. Headlights in original position are behind loader masts. They can be repositioned out by exchanging the right and left-hand light mounting brackets.

a. Remove cover (A).

b. Disconnect plug (B).

c. Remove hardware (C).

d. Pull approximately 75 mm (3 in.) of wiring harness out of post. Reposition grommet and caulking around wire.

e. Remove bracket on opposite side of cab. Exchange sides with brackets.

f. Connect strap (D) (provided in bag of hardware with loader mounting frames) to bracket using two M8 x 16 flange cap screws (E) and lock nuts.

g. Notch plastic cover at (F) to clear wires and install cover.

h. Insert plug (G).

i. Connect bracket to post using existing hardware (H).

6. 30, 40, 50 and 55 Series Utility Tractors with SOUND-GARD ® Body; Increase door opening:

a. Remove door stop link (A).

b. Using a press, bend link to increase pin-to-pin dimension (B) to specification.

Specification

Link Pin-to-Pin -Distance 250 mm (9.8 in.)

c. Install link on door.
