Symptom Problem Solution

Driveline bent

Contact with drawbar.

Reposition drawbar. (See Preparing the Tractor section.)

Contact with frame.

Shorten center link. (See ADJUSTING CUTTING HEIGHT/TAILWHEEL POSITION in Operating the Cutter section.)

Too long, bottoms out.

Telescoping tube fails

Shock load.

Avoid solid objects.

Telescoping tube wears

Short tube engagement.

Lack of lubrication.

Yoke or cross fails
