Preparing Cutter For Transport

causym CAUTION: Prevent collisions between other road users, slow moving tractors with attachments or towed equipment, and self-propelled machines on public roads. Frequently check for traffic from the rear, especially in turns, and use hand signals or turn signal lights.

Use headlights, flashing warning lights, and turn signals day and night. Follow local regulations for equipment lighting and marking. Keep lighting and marking visible and in good working order. Replace or repair lighting and marking that has been damaged or lost.

1. Make sure reflectors and SMV sign are clean and visible.

causym CAUTION: To prevent bodily injury from rotating blades, be sure to disengage tractor PTO before transporting cutter.

2. Disengage tractor PTO.

3. Raise cutter to fully raised position using tractor hitch/rockshaft control. If equipped, set tractor hitch/rockshaft control lever in transport lock position. (See your tractor Operator's Manual.)
