Checking and Adjusting Latch Mechanism Alignment

If latch plate is not fully engaged, perform the following procedures.

Loosen mounting frame hardware.
2.
Relieve loader pressure from weight bracket and loosen two bolts and nuts (D) on each side of loader.
3.
Retract lift cylinders to raise latch mechanism up into weight bracket and adjust latch mechanism as necessary.
4.
Engage latch plate retainer.
5.
Cycle boom several times.
6.
Tighten nuts (D) and mounting frame hardware to specifications. (See FIRST 10 AND EVERY 50 HOURS in Lubrication and Maintenance section.)
7.
Detach, then re-attach loader to check for correct adjustment.
NOTE:
If latch mechanism does not engage after adjustment procedure has been performed, contact your John Deere dealer.
