Prepare the tractor.

4000 Series Tractors;
Inspect weight bracket.
c.
990, 970 and 1070 Tractors;
Install weight bracket and mounting frames.
d.
4000 Series Tractors;
Install hood guard.
e.
Install latch plate retainer.
2.
Prepare the loader.
a.
Remove shipping banding, wire and dunnage.
b.
Install bucket/attachment.
c.
430 on 970 and 1070 Tractor;
1.
Reposition latch rod.
2.
Reposition hydraulic oil lines.

d.
Install hydraulic hoses.
e.
Position loader to mount on tractor.
f.
460 only;
Adjust stop plates. ( See PREPARING TO ATTACH LOADER in Attaching Loader section.)
3.
Attach loader to tractor.
a.
Attach loader. (See Attaching Loader section.)
b.
Check and adjust latch plate engagement.
c.
Tighten mounting frame hardware.
d.
430 on 990, 970 and 1070 Tractor;
Install hood guard.
4.
Perform final inspection and adjustments.
5.
Install optional equipment/attachments.
