Detaching Loader
CAUTION:
To help prevent personal injury caused by a falling loader, always detach on a hard, level surface. Loader MUST be equipped with QUIK-PARK™ attachment and a bucket to detach.
NOTE:
Parking is shown with a mechanical self-level loader. Procedure is the same for Standard loader.
1.
Dump bucket 40° below level.
2.
Lower bucket to ground, applying slight down pressure. Do not raise tires off ground.
3.
Engage parking brake or place transmission in
PARK
and shut off engine.

4.
Remove spring locking pin (A) and hose clamp with hoses from right-hand mast. Store spring locking pin on end of drilled cap screw.

NOTE:
To prevent loader from sinking in soft ground, place boards under parking stands.
5.
Lower parking stands:
a.
Remove spring locking pin (C) and pin (A).
b.
Slide parking stand down until pins (E) pass through notches (D).
c.
Align parking stand with hole (B) and install pin (A) and spring locking pin (C) as shown.

6.
Loosen wedge cap screws (B) on back of each tractor frame.
7.
Remove pins (A) from both mounting frames and place in storage brackets (C).
8.
Start tractor engine.
9.
Put transmission in
NEUTRAL
to allow tractor movement, and release parking brake.

Extend lift cylinders until masts move forward 50 mm (2 in.) (A).

11.
Slowly roll back bucket until stands contact ground. Continue to roll back bucket until loader lifts out of mounting frames. Drive ahead as necessary to keep hoses slack.

Retract lift cylinders completely.

Extend bucket cylinders slightly.

CAUTION:
Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Tighten all connections before applying pressure. Search for leaks with a piece of cardboard. Protect hands and body from high pressure fluids.
If an accident occurs, see a doctor immediately. Any fluid injected into the skin must be surgically removed within a few hours or gangrene may result. Doctors unfamiliar with this type of injury should reference a knowledgeable medical source. Such information is available from Deere & Company Medical Department in Moline, Illinois, U.S.A.
14.
Shut off engine and move loader control lever(s) back and forth and side-to-side (if applicable) several times. (See your tractor Operator's Manual.)
Electrohydraulic valve/third function (attachment, such as grapple):
a.
Turn key to ON position. Do not start tractor engine.
b.
Press switch (A) several times.
c.
Turn key to OFF position.

30, 40, 50 and 55 Series Tractors with independent control valve:
Use following special procedure to relieve hydraulic pressure:
a.
With engine running, move lever forward and to right-hand side. Do not place lever in FLOAT or FAST DUMP positions.
b.
Hold lever, shut off tractor engine and wait until engine stops before releasing lever.

Electronic Control Lever (E-ICV):
a.
Turn key to ON position. Do not start tractor engine.
b.
Release interlock. (Operator's hand must be inserted to hold switch actuator (A) open.)
c.
Move loader control lever back and forth and side-to-side several times.
d.
Turn key to OFF position.

15.
SCV at Rear of Tractor:
a.
Disconnect couplers.
b.
Place caps on hose ends and plugs in couplers.

c.
Remove spring locking pin (B) and hose clamp with hoses (A) from bracket (C) on tractor frame.
d.
Store hoses on loader. Do not lay them on ground.

Mid-Mount Couplers:
a.
Pull back and hold collar on female coupler (A).
b.
Disconnect female coupler from male coupler (B).
c.
Release collar on female coupler.
d.
Place plug in hose end and cap on male coupler.
e.
Repeat for all hydraulic hose connections.
f.
Place hoses on lift cylinder. Do not lay on ground.

Multi-Coupler:
IMPORTANT:
To avoid seal damage, relieve hydraulic pressure before disconnecting multi-coupler. (See your tractor Operator's Manual.)
a.
Push red knob (A) IN and rotate lever rearward to disengage pins (B), separating coupler halves.
b.
Remove loader coupler half with hoses (C) away from tractor coupler.
c.
Store coupler half on loader mast. Do not lay on ground.

IMPORTANT:
Lever (A) must be in the locked (UP) position when loader coupler half with hoses are removed to avoid interference with tractor fender or wheel. Cover (B) must also be lowered to protect connection surface of tractor coupler half.
d.
Rotate lever (A) around and forward until a "click" is heard, locking lever in UP position, as shown.
e.
Lower cover (B).
16.
Start tractor engine.
17.
Place transmission in
REVERSE
and move tractor slowly away from loader.
