Install Driveline

NOTE: Drivelines are shipped with screw (A) installed to prevent driveline from extending.

1. Remove and discard screw (A) and tag.

2. LX4 and LX5 only; Remove snap ring (A) from input shaft.

3. Remove paint from gear case input shaft.

4. Install slip clutch shield (if equipped).

a. Open access panel (B) on shield.

b. Attach shield to gear case using four M8 x 16 cap screws and flat washers (A). Tighten to specifications.

Specification

Cap Screws -Torque 11 N·m (97 lb-in.)

5. Install driveline. (See REMOVING AND INSTALLING DRIVELINE in Service section.)
