Modify PTO Driveline (If Necessary)

2. Pull apart driveline halves.

3. Inner (male) driveline tube half (A) ; Remove driveline shield. (See DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING DRIVELINE SHIELDS in Service section.)

4. Measure and mark 101.6 mm (4 in.) from end of shield and tube.

5. Clamp driveline shield and tube in a soft-jaw vice and cut off the end.

6. Deburr the ends of the shield and tube.

7. Assemble shield and tube.

8. Apply multipurpose grease around outside surface of inner driveline tube (A).

9. Align driveline halves and assemble telescoping members together.

10. Install driveline.
