Install Foot Guards (If Equipped)

NOTE: Foot guards (A) are also used with rubber front safety shield.

1. LX4 and LX5; Thread nuts (B) all the way onto threads.

LX6; Thread nuts (B) onto threads leaving 13 mm (1/2 in.) of thread (C) exposed. When used with rubber front safety shield, thread nuts (B) all the way onto threads.

causym CAUTION: To help prevent bodily injury from rotating blades, foot guards must be installed correctly. Foot guards installed with short leg toward the center of cutter does not provide protection that was intended.

2. Install guards on each side of machine with long leg (D) toward center of cutter and fasten with lock nuts. Tighten to specifications.
