Selecting Hitch Pin Position
IMPORTANT:
Avoid damage to front of cutter from tire or driveline contact or interference. Hitch settings can be changed on LX4 and LX5 cutters or draft and center links can be adjusted on tractor.
With tractor rear tread set to minimum width and/or tractor equipped with unapproved larger tires, interference may occur with the safety shield or sill of the cutter. If interference exists, a wider tread setting may have to be used or change hitch pin and strap position.
Clearance between the tractor tires and cutter may also be obtained by adjusting the center links and lift links. (See ADJUSTING CUTTING HEIGHT in Operating the Cutter section.)
NOTE:
LX4 and LX5: There is a choice of "HIGH" or "LOW" positions for the hitch pins. Choose the correct position for your tractor and application.
