Keeping Cutter Clean
IMPORTANT:
Avoid machine damage due to build up of debris on cutter deck. Clean debris from deck daily or more often if necessary.
Build-up of debris may interfere with drivelines and cause gear cases to overheat resulting in damaged components. Rusting of deck can be caused by moisture in built-up debris.
Clean all debris from deck at the end of each day's operation.

Checking Gear Case Oil Level
NOTE:
Perform the following procedures on all gear cases with machine on level surface. Right-hand side shown.
1.
Remove dipstick/vent (A). Oil level should be between lines (B). Add John Deere GL-5 GEAR LUBRICANT, or equivalent, if necessary.
2.
Install dipstick/vent.
