CAUTION: Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Tighten all connections before applying pressure. Search for leaks with a piece of cardboard. Protect hands and body from high pressure fluids.

If an accident occurs, see a doctor immediately. Any fluid injected into the skin must be surgically removed within a few hours or gangrene may result. Doctors unfamiliar with this type of injury should reference a knowledgeable medical source. Such information is available from Deere & Company Medical Department in Moline, Illinois, U.S.A.

  1. Relieve hydraulic pressure by shutting off engine and moving loader control levers. (See procedure in your tractor Operator's Manual.)

  2. IMPORTANT: To prevent twisting the hydraulic tubes, use two wrenches when removing or connecting hoses to tubes.

Remove clamps and tie bands as required. Plastic tie bands cannot be used again.

  3. Remove and replace hydraulic components.

  4. Route or tie hoses to avoid contact with loader frame.

  5. Cycle loader and check for leaks.

  6. Check tractor hydraulic oil level. (See your tractor Operator's Manual.)
