B - Tie Band

Lubricate bearings on the single-lever independent control valve (if equipped).

  1. Early Version: Remove the boot (A) by cutting the tie band (B) and sliding the boot up the shaft.

    Later Version: Pull off the boot (A) and slide the boot up the shaft.

  2. Apply grease liberally to the outside surface of each ball joint. Move the lever in all directions to ensure that the lubricant penetrates ball joints.

  3. Install the boot.

  4. Early Version: Secure the boot to the housing with a large tie band.
