Using Service Locks

Install Service Locks

   A - Cap Screw, Lock Washer, Wing Nut (2 per side)

   B - Extension (1 each side)

   C - Outer Sleeve

   D - Holes (end of Extension)

   Remove any load from bucket or attachment.

2. IMPORTANT: Avoid machine damage. Do not lower loader onto service locks with hydraulic pressure applied or with load in bucket.

   Engage parking brake or place transmission in PARK.

3. Start tractor and raise loader to maximum height.

4. Shut off tractor engine and remove key.

5. CAUTION: Avoid injury or death. Do not stand under a raised loader. Lift service lock around the leveling link while standing to side of tractor and loader.

   Remove wing nuts, lock washers, and cap screws (A) from storage bracket an service lock.

6. CAUTION: To safely support weight of raised loader, make sure cap screws (A) are installed through holes in outer sleeve (C) and last two holes (D) in extension (B).

   Pivot service lock down and align holes on outer sleeve (C) with last two holes (D) in extension (B).

7. Install cap screws, lock washers, and wing nuts (A) as shown.

8. Dump bucket or attachment to relieve pressure.

9. Slowly relieve pressure in lift cylinders until booms lower and come to rest on service locks. (See procedure in your tractor Operator's Manual.)

Remove and Store Service Locks

1. CAUTION:

   C - Bracket (1 each side)

   Avoid injury or death. Do not stand under a raised loader. Lift service lock around the leveling link while standing to side of tractor and loader.

   Level the attachment with the ground then raise loader to maximum height.

2. Lock multi-function control lever, shut off tractor engine and remove key.

3. Remove wing nuts, lock washers, and cap screws (A).

4. Align extension (B) with inner set of holes.

5. Align service lock with bracket (C) and install cap screws, lock washers, and wing nuts (A).

6. Slowly lower loader by releasing pressure.
