Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines.

If an accident occurs, see a doctor immediately. Information is available from Deere & Company Medical Department in Moline, Illinois, U.S.A.

If Equipped with Hydraulic-Operated Attachment, such as a Grapple, with multicoupler:

    1. Close grapple/attachment and lower to ground.

    2. Relieve pressure in hydraulic system. (See procedure in your tractor Operator’s Manual and RELIEVE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SAFELY in Safety section).

    3. Shut off tractor engine.

    4. Push red knob (E) IN and rotate lever (B) upward to disengage pins (C) and separate coupler halves.

    5. Remove attachment coupler (A) from loader coupler (D). Place coupler with hoses on attachment as shown.

    6. IMPORTANT: Avoid interference with tractor components. Lever (B) must be in the locked (DOWN) position when attachment coupler half is removed. Cover (F) must also be lowered to protect connection surface of loader coupler.

Close cover (F) and rotate lever (B) downward to lock in place.

    2. Relieve pressure in hydraulic system. (See procedure in your tractor Operator’s Manual and RELIEVE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SAFELY in Safety section).

    3. Shut off tractor engine.

    4. Push and hold collar (A) on female coupler

    5. Disconnect male coupler (B).

    6. Release collar on female coupler

    7. Place cap on male tip at hose end and insert plug (C) into female coupler.

    8. Repeat Steps d—g for remaining hose connection.

    A - Carrier

DO NOT allow bystanders near loader while detaching bucket/attachment.

To prevent serious injury, bucket/attachment must be detached only by tractor operator.

Roll back bucket or attachment slightly (retract bucket cylinders) until resting on carrier at (A).

  6. Start tractor engine. Place transmission in NEUTRAL to allow tractor movement.

  7. Tilt carrier forward (extend bucket cylinders) and lower loader to ground allowing carrier arms (E) to clear hooks (D) on bucket/attachment.

  8. CAUTION: Avoid pinch hazard. If not immediately attaching to another attachment, fully roll back carrier to engage latch pins.

Place transmission in REVERSE and slowly back tractor away from bucket/attachment.
