Detaching Loader

  1. CAUTION:

    To help prevent personal injury caused by falling or shifting loader, always detach loader on a hard level surface. Do not detach loader equipped with a pallet fork or bale spear (H165 only). Use of a materials bucket is recommended.

    Remove ballast box. (See procedure in this section.)

    Be sure loader is equipped with a materials bucket.



  3. Start tractor engine.

  4. Release parking brake and/or place transmission in NEUTRAL.

  5. Dump bucket 10°—20° and lower to ground.

  6. Retract lift cylinders raising front wheels 25—50 mm (1—2 in.) off ground. (Do not retract lift cylinders completely.)

    A - Latch Handle

    B - Leaf Spring

    Place latches on both sides to the UNLOCKED position by pushing leaf spring (B) inward and pushing forward on latch handle (A).



  8. NOTE: Lift cylinders must be fully extended to raise masts high enough to clear front wheels.

    Extend lift cylinders until parking stand (B) contacts ground and masts (A) completely lift off frames (C).



  9. Engage tractor parking brake and/or place transmission in PARK.

  10. Shut off tractor engine and remove key.

  11. CAUTION:

    To help prevent injury from escaping hydraulic oil under pressure, relieve pressure in the system.

    Move control lever(s) back and forth and side-to-side (if applicable) several times. (See your tractor Operator's Manual.)

    Disconnect hoses at couplers and install dust plugs and caps.



  13. IMPORTANT:

    To avoid hose damage, be sure hoses do not catch on tractor when reversing away from loader.

    Store hoses on lift cylinder. DO NOT lay them on the ground.



  14. Start tractor engine.

  15. Disengage tractor parking brake and place transmission in REVERSE. Slowly move away from loader.
