Accessing Front of Tractor

CAUTION: If unable to access front of tractor with loader attached, remove loader or raise up and support with shop stands. Refer to SERVICING LOADER AND/OR TRACTOR SAFELY (LOADER ATTACHED) at the beginning of this section.

Hood guard does not fold down. Hood can be raised with hood guard in place.

A - Spring Locking Pins

  1. Remove spring locking pins (A) from pins in each side of the hood guard.

  2. Remove drilled pins and swing hood guard down for access to front of tractor.


3X20 Series Tractors

B - Hood Guard

Turn lever (A) and pivot hood guard (B) forward to gain access to front of tractor.

  1. NOTE: Procedure can be performed with or without loader attached. Loader removed for photographic purposes.

    Remove cap screw and nuts (B) from hood guard (A). Tilt hood guard forward to access front grille (C).

  2. Pull out grille and disconnect two springs (D) to access/service battery.

    Remove hood guard entirely and remove front grille to gain access to front of tractor.

    Remove cap screw and nuts (A) from hood guard (B).

  2. Tilt hood guard forward and raise hood to access engine compartment.
