Prepare the Tractor

1. Prepare the tractor for the loader. Refer to Preparing the Tractor section for the following:

   • Removing front weights
   • Tire requirements
   • Tread settings
   • Rear ballast requirements
   
   

2. 3X20, 4X00, 4X10 Series, 3203 and 4005 Tractors: Inspect weight bracket.

3. Install mounting frames. (Refer to Installation Instructions available online to John Deere dealers.)

4. 3X20, 4X00, 4X10 Series, 3203, 4005 and 4105 Tractors: Install hood guard. (Refer to Installation Instructions available online to John Deere dealers.)

   855, 955, 870, 970, 1070, and 990 Tractors: Install front weight bracket and hood guard. (Refer to Installation Instructions available online to John Deere dealers.)
