Attach Ballast Box to Tractor with Quick Coupler Hitch

CAUTION: To help prevent personal injury from tractor instability, be sure to attach ballast box before attempting to attach loader.

To avoid bodily injury or machine damage, put transmission in PARK and check the full range of hitch for interference or binding with the ballast box.

Do not stand between tractor and ballast box.

  1. Lower hitch until quick coupler hooks are lower than ballast box pins.

  2. Back up the tractor to the ballast box.

  3. IMPORTANT: Check spring loaded clips on quick coupler to be sure that latches are free and working properly.

    A - Latch Levers

    Make sure latch levers (A) are down (as shown).


  4. Raise hitch and engage ballast box pins in quick coupler hooks. Continue to raise ballast box and check for interference. If necessary, lower ballast box to the ground and adjust.
