Removing Ballast Box

CAUTION: To prevent personal injury from tractor instability, remove ballast box from hitch when loader is removed.

To prevent personal injury caused by unexpected movement:

1. Park machine on a level surface.
2. Engage tractor parking brake and/or place transmission in PARK.
3. Disengage PTO.
4. Shut off tractor engine and remove key.

A - Hitch Control Lever

1. Slowly push hitch control lever (A) to lower ballast box to the ground.

   A - Center Link

   B - Quick-Lock Pin (2 used)

   Remove quick-lock pins (B) from hitch pins and install in storage position on tractor draft links.

3. Remove and lower tractor draft links from hitch pins.

4. Disconnect center link (A). Position tractor center link in transport location. Reinstall center link pin/hardware.

5. Carefully drive tractor away.

A - Latch Control Levers

1. Slowly push hitch control lever to lower ballast box close to the ground.

2. Raise both latch control levers (A) on quick coupler.

3. Start tractor engine.

4. Lower ballast box to the ground. Continue lowering quick coupler until hooks clear ballast box hitch pins.

5. Carefully drive tractor away.
