Basic Machine
The basic machine comprises a steel frame and a polyethylene solution tank with a nominal content of 2400 (724 model), 3200 (732 model) or 4000 liter (740 model). The solution tank with hinged tank lid, basket strainer, liquid level indicator, pressure agitation and internal tank rinsing system is mounted to the frame, along with a 400 liter rinse tank and a 10 liter hand wash tank.
Pump
The 700 series trailed sprayer comprises a single piston diaphragm pump with a capacity of 280 liters per minute. The pump is located on the frame and is driven by the tractor PTO by means of a PTO shaft with a single-side wide angle coupling (1 3/8" with 6 splines). The PTO shaft has a separate operator's manual, supplied in a plastic bag connected to the PTO shaft.
Suction unit
The suction unit comprises a suction valve, a suction filter, a filling hose connection and a drain valve. Different filling hose connections are available like camlock, firebrigade or B/C-couplings (Storz). All couplings have blind caps.
Drawbar
The drawbar is mounted to the front of the frame. The sprayer can be fitted with a fixed lower linkage drawbar or with a steering drawbar. With the steering drawbar, both lower and upper linkage connections to the tractor are possible. Different kinds of drawbar tow eyes can be fitted to the drawbar.
Axle
The 700 series trailed sprayer can be equipped with different types of axles:
|
-
fixed axle (8-bolts) for track width 1.50/1.80 m
-
fixed axle (8-bolts) for track width 2.00/2.25 m
-
suspended axle (8-bolts) for track width 1.50/1.80 m
-
suspended axle (8-bolts) for track width 2.00/2.25 m
The axles comprise drum brakes with an external speed sensor. Hydraulic or pneumatic brake systems are available.
The suspended axles are fitted to the frame with a double link connection and equipped with special polyurethane dampers.
Tires and Wheels
The trailed sprayers can be fitted with various row crop tires or flotation tires. The wheels and rims are welded together. The wheels for the axles have an 8-bolt connection.
Although the tires and wheels can be rated as 40 km/h, the maximum load the tires and wheels can carry at these speeds is limited. Therefore the axle load, tire pressure and load index of the tire determine the maximum speed (or maximum load).
Control system
The control system comprises the pressure regulator and main shut-off located on the left side of the machine and a pressure gauge located on the front of the sprayer. The pressure line filter is fitted to the left front of the machine together with the suction filter. The boom section valves are grouped at the center boom section (standard) or integrated in the spray boom (for machines with ring line circulation). The electric control box with integrated spray rate controller can be fitted in the cab. The application rate control is available with pressure sensor, flow sensor or both. These sensors are located at the centre section of the spray boom. The control box is available with a toggle switch or with a rotary switch for the boom tilt function.
