Electrically Operated Set of Edge Nozzles
In electrically operated sets of edge nozzles (A), both the edge nozzle and the last nozzle (B) can be closed electrically. This allows for full operation (opening of the edge nozzle and closure of the last nozzle or vice versa) to take place from the cab. This operation can be done with the three-position switch 7 on the EL-4 control box (left - centre - right). The symbol for the edge nozzle is given to the left and right of this switch on the operating panel.
If the switch is in the centre position, the edge nozzle(s) is/are closed and the last nozzle(s) is/are open. This is the normal position during spraying.
If the switch is in the left position, the left-hand edge nozzle is open and the last nozzle on the left is closed. This is the position during spraying along surface waters or along a field edge, using the left-hand side of the spray boom.
If the switch is in the right position, the right-hand edge nozzle is open and the last nozzle on the right is closed. This is the position during spraying along surface waters or along a field edge, using the right-hand side of the spray boom.
