External Pump Filling Connection
CAUTION:
If the tank is filled via a high capacity hydrant it is recommended to open the tank lid in order to avoid "blowing up" the tank.
CAUTION:
The maximum filling capacity for the external pump filling system is 500 l/min and the maximum pressure allowed is 4 bar. Never exceed this filling capacity and maximum pressure.
IMPORTANT:
If the external pomp filling connection is used to purge into the solution tank pre-mixed chemicals from a external storage tank, the line needs to be rinsed as well.
For safe and easy filling of the machine via an external pump, a special connection is available to prevent backflow of spraying liquid to the hydrant. A hose (50 mm) can be connected to the left front of the machine at position (C). There are different couplings available like camlock, firebrigade and C-coupling (Storz). These couplings are delivered separately (male and female parts with hose barb and hose clamps). The male coupling should be screwed into the 1.5" thread connection (A) on the left front side of the sprayer and the female coupling with hose barb should be connected to the supply hose with the hose clamps.
The liquid then flows via a 1.5" ball valve (B) to the hydrants connection. During the filling process, the water is sprayed with great force into the tank. In the case of a malfunction the non-return check valve (D) will be automatically closed, so that spraying liquid cannot flow back.
Before the supply hose is uncoupled, the 1.5" ball valve (B) must be closed in order to prevent any leftover liquid in the hose flowing back.
