Adjusting the Center Position of Steering Drawbar

After the crop sprayer has been connected (see section "Coupling and Uncoupling of the Sprayer"), the following procedure must be carried out to adjust the automatic tracking system on the steering drawbar. The spray booms must be unfolded, otherwise operation of the steering drawbar is not possible:

  • Manually position the drawbar with the EHB-2 switch box at right angles to the axle of the sprayer. In the centre position of the drawbar, the manual lock should be possible to engage.
  • Sensors (A) are adjustable in the slotted holes. Their adjustment can be checked by means of the LEDs on the sensors when the EHB-2 control box is switched on. The LEDs on the sensors must not be ON if the drawbar is in center position (can be checked with the drawbar locked). However, as soon as the drawbar steers slightly to the left or to the right, LEDs must immediately light up. The vertical distance between the sensors and the plate on the drawbar must be 5-6 mm.
  • Manually drive out the drawbar completely to the left. If the operation is set to manual mode on the EHB-2 switch box, the drawbar should now automatically center itself if the automatic neutral position is selected. Refer also to "Automatic Trailing Functions of EHB-2 Control Box" in the section "Operation of the machine".
  • Repeat the same for the right side.
  • If the "zero point" is never reached, the distance between the sensors in the slotted holes needs to be increased.
