Safety During Maintenance Work
-
Maintenance work must be carried out according to an accepted sequence. Keep the working area clean and dry.
-
Lubrication, maintenance and adjustments may only be performed while the machine is stationary. Take care that hands, feet and clothing are kept out of the danger zone of moving parts. Switch off all drives; decrease pressure in system, through operation of provisions for that purpose.
-
Maintenance and repairs may only take place following complete cleaning of the machine.
-
During repairs and maintenance work, the electric power must be switched off by means of the starting switch. Disconnect the power cable.
-
The power take-off shaft must be switched off in order that the machine cannot start unexpectedly or unintentionally.
-
The machine may not be test run with the safety provisions turned off or protective covers removed.
-
Welding work may not be carried out on the machine if it has been used to spray ammonium nitrate and/or contains residues of this chemical.
-
You must not enter the tank for purposes of cleaning or repair.
-
Machine components which must be hoisted for maintenance, must be well jacked up.
-
Always pay attention to the good condition and effective mounting of all components. Rectify defects immediately. Worn or damaged parts must be replaced. Remove accumulated lubricating grease, oil or dirt.
-
When working on the electrical installation or during welding work on the machine, first disconnect the earthing cable (-) from the battery.
