Gearbox

The oil in the gearbox must be regularly changed, as follows:

1. the first time after 15 operating hours
2. then after every 100 operating hours or, when the machine has been used less than 100 hours in a season, each season.

Bring the machine to operating temperature and then turn off the machine. Place a container under the gearbox to catch the oil and remove the oil drain plug. Also remove the filling plug to speed up the oil flow.

Once all the oil has been drained off, the drain plug can be replaced. Fill the gearbox with new oil via the filling hole. The gearbox has an oil capacity of 1.4 liters. The oil to be used in the gearbox is SAE 85W-90 GL5 or equivalent. Check the oil level through the level gauge (A). The oil should be at the height of the red dot in the level gauge, when the machine is standing on a horizontal floor. Check oil level regularly and refill gearbox with oil whenever necessary.
