Universal Drawbar Pivot
Machines with a universal drawbar (B) and automatic tracking system are tracking accurately if the drawbar pivot is exactly halfway between the tractor rear axle and the sprayer axle (see Note) H1 = H2 = 2271 mm, with an acceptable tolerance of plus or minus 50 mm. To achieve this, the distance between the pivot of the drawbar and the rear axle of the tractor must be 2271 mm (+/- 50 mm).
NOTE:
This measure is valid with the sprayer axle mounted in the standard position. The rear mounting position of the axle (170 mm backwards) is only available in combination with a universal drawbar equipped with 4 ballast weights (with a thickness of 50 mm each). In this case the tracking is accurate if the drawbar pivot is exactly halfway between tractor axle and the sprayer axle (H1 = H2 = 2441 mm). To achieve this, the distance between the pivot of the drawbar and the rear axle of the tractor must be 2441 mm (+/- 50 mm).
With the universal drawbar, the horizontal distance from the drawbar pivot to the tow eye is adjustable. Two spacers left and right with a thickness of 50 mm each can be placed between the drawbar and the tow eye. Two or more spacers are available on request. In this way, the length of the drawbar can be changed up to 100 mm. The spacers need to be fixed with eight long bolts and washers. If less than four spacers are required between the drawbar and tow eye, the remaining spacers have to be fitted on the front side of the tow eye bracket, so the same bolts can be used.
Adjust the distance between the drawbar pivot and the tow eye depending on the type of tractor (distance between rear axle and draw hook) being used for spraying. The length of the drawbar plus the distance from the draw-hook to the rear axle of the tractor should be as close as possible to 2271 mm (+/- 50 mm) with the axle set in the front position. A well-fitting draw-pin is essential for the proper functioning of the automatic tracking system.
