Boom Tilt Correction
The boom suspension system is self-correcting. The boom tilt correction will therefore not be needed often on flat fields.
However, some degree of boom tilt correction is always necessary when closing boom sections. This may also be the case if the spray boom needs to be set at an angle (e.g. when working on slopes).
The tilt position of the spray boom can be changed because there is a second articulation point in the pendulum system (A). The boom tilt correction is always carried out with a hydraulic cylinder (B). For good functioning of the boom tilt correction there needs to be sufficient clearance between the guiding pin for the boom tilt actuator (C) and the guiding strip (D).
